vancouver.

I'm stateside now, but a few days ago I made my first trip north of the border to Canada, where I visited Vancouver, BC. On the whole, it felt similar to my experiences in Seattle & Portland; albeit, with much more green space. And maybe it was the places I visited, but it seemed like there was a greater concern with their relationship to the First Nations populations.

I visited Stanley Park, the Vancouver Aquarium, Granville Island, Queen Elizabeth Park, & the Museum of Anthropology on the University of British Columbia campus. A lot for the two days I was there, but I'm glad I got to check out a bunch of things, and I'm excited to go back some day!

Tomorrow I start the Big Sky Theater Workshop. I've been doing pretty good about consistently writing during this trip, but it's going to be so nice to be able to focus on a play for a bit. And I'll admit, it's also going to be nice to have a more extended time to socialize with people that I already know. [Most of the conversations I've had recently have been a lot of exposition about myself, why I'm on the west coast, which is fine but exhausting after a point.] I probably won't be posting a journal entry during this time, so I will reemerge next week!
